I will be attending lectures at a business school in Moscow from 24-28 June. I want to go to the bicycle festival in Uglich from 29-30 June and then tour with my bicycle until 21 July. I have thought about touring among the Golden cities and spending a few days in St Petersburg. Any advice?

I have the following questions:
-how popular is the cycle festival in Uglich and will I find other touring cyclists there?
-how easy is it to find drinking water and do I need to filter it?
-how much do I need to budget for food a day roughly if I plan to do my own breakfast and supper and eat at a cafe for lunch?
